Goddess, demon, witch or fairy, also a symbol of intellectual perversion, Medusa represents horror, the other side of Beauty that fascinates and repels, seduces and kills. For this reason, in ancient figurative culture, the image of Medusa's head is very often used as a magical and apotropaic symbol, that is, capable of warding off evil. Because in the ugliness, what we reject of ourselves, beauty always hides. Here then Medusa becomes the poetry of the Soul, a jellyfish in our inner sea.
