In a vibrant celebration of art and culture, the Pice Gallery opened its doors on August 3rd to two captivating exhibitions: the hybrid collective exhibition "Summer's Twilight" and the solo exhibition "Berlin Goes Abstract" by Ben Plaumann. The evening was a fusion of creativity, global collaboration, and local charm, making it a memorable event for all attendees.
"Summer's Twilight" brought together an impressive lineup of artists from around the world. The physical exhibition featured works by Eliana Sá, Mara Bonofligio, NeuralMystic, and Débora Gonçalves, showcasing diverse artistic expressions that captivated the local audience.
Simultaneously, the virtual aspect of the exhibition allowed a broader international participation, with pieces from Alireza Karimi Moghaddam, Franciline, Ivana Enny, Lavinia Marin, Michael Surber, Nina Roca, Rada Aragizade, Renea Dizdarevic, and Vec.
This hybrid format highlighted the evolving nature of art exhibitions, where technology bridges geographical distances, bringing together a global community of artists and art lovers.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly Ben Plaumann's solo exhibition, "Berlin Goes Abstract." Plaumann, who was present at the opening, offered an intimate exploration of his deep connection with his hometown, Berlin. In his own words, "With this selection of my artwork, I want to underline the great and richly layered spirit of my hometown Berlin. The influence of big city lights as well as more quiet and dark places reflect life and my soul in various dimensions at the same time. I love to express myself with abstract styles, from modern to antique looking—just like Berlin." His work, rich with abstract styles that range from modern to antique, mirrors the multifaceted nature of Berlin itself, capturing both its vibrant energy and its quieter, more introspective sides.
The exhibitions are ongoing and will run until August 31st, offering a fantastic opportunity for those who haven't yet visited to immerse themselves in these remarkable artworks. We encourage everyone to take advantage of this final stretch to experience the diverse range of artistic expressions on display.
The evening was further enriched by traditional local live music, adding a layer of cultural depth to the event. Attendees enjoyed an atmosphere filled with creativity, community, and joy, making the opening of "Summer's Twilight" and "Berlin Goes Abstract" a resounding success.
